Kohinga Hiriwa / silver tablecloth

An all-over New Zealand fern silver-grey print on white cotton canvas tablecloth.

Kohinga is the Maori word for collection and the the Auckland Museums early fern reference collection  sparked this design. An exclusive Pauanesia tablecloth design by K.Morison it celebrates the ferns in New Zealand native bush in a "lacey patchwork" design with a woven flax side border.

Early books published in New Zealand on native ferns including Herbert Dobbie's 1880 publication 145 Native Fern varieties of New Zealand provided the reference for this design. The silver/Hiriwa colourway is subtle and elegant to the table setting .
