“Conservation of Habitat” Tea towel designs
Aotearoa/New Zealand’s original geographic isolation resulted in a unique flora and fauna, that with the introduction of exotic species has correspondingly declined. The Coromandel design emerged as a response to the ancient podocarp forests and the necessity for continued protection of these unique ecosystems and a respect for the diversity they support.
