The Anawhata artisan Merino/Mohair blanket by Dianne Dudfield is inspired by the smokey sea blues and the hazy greens of the surrounding bush at Huia/ Anawhata- way out west Auckland.

This is just one of the many beautiful Dianne Dudfield blankets we have in store. Her work is much admired and she is regarded as one of new Zealand's foremost textile artists.Dianne is very skilled at hand-dyeing the fibre and weaving fabulous textiles on her 16 shaft dobby loom. The blanket is surprisingly light and if treated well, will become a heirloom for generations to come. It is a privilege to work with her.

It has been gently washed after coming off the loom, as this helps faull the fibres and mesh them together.
