Pounamu Peter Chatfield

Pauanesia maintains a good stock of Pounaumu Toki pendants. This piece was carved by retired southern master jeweller Peter Chatfield.

All our carvers are passionate about creating beautiful pendants that capture the beauty of this Nephrite greenstone Jade.  We respect its heritage by calling it Pounamu, its first-name given to it by Ngāi Tahu, the tribe who has guardianship for this taonga (treasure).
