This Kauri design was created for us by Kirsty Morison and was inspired by many special, distinctive aspects of these enormous and beautiful trees .
In the northern parts of Aotearoa, Kauri once grew down by the coast. The mature Kauri canopy towered above others in Tane’s kingdom, magnificent and proud. Now their very existence is threatened.
Our Kauri designs are our endeavour to contribute funds towards Kauri die-back research and the prevention of further spread of the disease. To date we have donated over $1,000 to community voluntary organizations actively involved in Kauri protection and propagation.
Merino wool (90%) & silk (10%). Woven and digitally printed for us in India.
