Machine washable with mild detergent. Linen becomes softer and more absorbent after each wash, which is pretty neat. Linen is ideal for tea towels as it absorbs quicker and more moisture than cotton. Wash linen on low temperatures in lukewarm or cold water. Use the gentle machine cycle and a mild detergent to protect the fibres. Details

The work of artist Amy Joe printed onto a linen tea towel.
Artist statement by Amy Joe —
Size“When I was small my grandfather lived with my grandmother atop Auckland’s then tallest building. His job, as caretaker of this enormous building, was to go up and down the stairs and lifts, protecting and serving. In his spare time he nurtured relationships with the enormous Karoro (black-backed gulls) that would land on the edge of their patio high in the sky. He would put food out, he would talk to them and slowly over weeks, edge closer and closer, until he would be right underneath where they perched, looking up at them, chatting all of the time. The Karoro would come back to the same spot at the same time and they would spend some time together on that patio, on that tall building, high in the sky."

100% linen tea towel
You might notice tiny little globules of imperfection dotted throughout the linen Tea towel. These are called ‘slubs’, and they’re actually naturally-occurring and the mark of true linen. These are part of linen’s organic appeal, and are a mark of a high quality, authentic fabric. They are not a fabric fault.
